Thanks for the words of praise Atmo, Simon. Coming from fellow skinners, those words do indeed mean much.

I just realized that my newest version of that amp isn't the one I put up! I have the latest version at 1k1.

As far as ps2 vs xbox, my ps2 amp is almost done now. I own both consoles myself, do you? I feel like I wasted my money on my ps2, my xbox truly is a much better machine, and I DESPISE Microsoft. I doubt that morrowind or halo, or damn the new james bond would look even close to as good as they are on my ps2.

Ahh well, those arguments won't be settled, everyone has an opinion anyway. It would be nice if people stopped hating *either* system without at least spending five hours playing as many different games on them so that they have a decent feeling for the difference.

Anyways, thanks again for the comments! Now, if only somone downloaders would comment, I'd be set! lol

I own all 3 'next gen' consoles (the GC, XB and PS2) and I gotta agree with u - the PS2 is the weakest outta them all...I only bought it for FFX, GTA3 and MGS2 and two of those were a BIG dissapointment IMO.

I agree, xbox seems to be the superior gaming machine. Its surprising how ps2 and xbox are still 200 bucks and gamecube has drop to 150. (At least in the states)

As for the skin, I'm not sure about the yellow areas on it, as I would have expected more green. Looks great, though!

I myself prefer Game Cube, but then again, I am a Nintendo fanboy. Between me and a few of my friends, we own every platform made by Nintendo except the GBA.

My future brother-in-law has a Xbox and some of my friend have the PS2, I have neither. And I'm not saying i hate one of them, i just said that i prefered the ps2 because i am not a big fan of MS.

Simon, I'm glad that you have played both, and I can understand the emnity for MS. I myself have had serious issues with their tactics and the choices they have made over the years. I've never been able to stand behind a single MS product with my whole heart, until now.

Xbox proved to me that Microsoft CAN get their collective heads out of their collective asses to come up with a, IMHO, flawless product.

MS dropped the price six months after the US launch, they price matched it everywhere else too, Euro, Nippon, etc etc. Why? Because Sony was leaked info on a price drop that would take place during E3, thus forcing MS to drop it early when Sony attempted to trump MS by dropping their, (thus making it appear as if Sony themselves dropped first, or at least thought of it first).

the XBOX has a multi connector on the backside that even allows my fiber optic plugin to attach to it, giving it 5.1. It has up to 256 sound channels and 64 3d sound channels as well.

Alot of people say that by putting a hard drive in the unit was a mistake. My morrowind game saves are up to 4 megs apiece, I'd hate to have to BUY any memory cards for this. The Hard drive is STANDARD in the unit. I am not going to buy the Hard drive for the ps2, as it isn't standard and the developers wont rely on using it. A waste of $149.00.

You should also know that XBOX allows me to RIP/EXTRACT cds onto my xbox Hard Drive, thus allowing many games to let me play my own songs as a soundtrack. You don't have to purchase anything extra for this function, it is built into the OS.

I could go on and on about how much better my XBOX is than my PS2, I'm almost ready to sell my PS2. This says alot, I've only sold one other gaming system that I've owned: The Sega 32x add-on, and yes, I own what most people would call excessive amounts of game systems. I have everything from my original sears telepong, sinclair z-80, pet to amigas, intellivision, ataris jaguar-2600 to 7800, atari 400-800colecovisions, my original Famicom unit, my original nintendo unit (cost $500 in 1985, came with ROBB). I once guesstimated that I own almost 4000 POUNDS of video games and video game consoles. LOL!

So when I say that PS2 dissapoints me, I think it has bearing.

Anyone wanna buy a ps2, real cheap?
