Multimedia Keyboard vs Winamp 3

From many years of using Winamp 2.x i controlled it by using the multimedia keys on certain keyboards,which allows playback control even when Winamp is not the selected application. Then shock horror when this no longer works with version 3! Anyone know why this is and/or got a solution?

I have the exact same problem with my Microsoft Natural Pro. Nothing I do will get it to control Winamp 3.

Yeah, I caught that after I posted this. Seems silly that MS will have to modify their drivers to work with winamp3.
