How do I get DJ's To Connect To My Server?
OK,
Before I start would just like to Say "Hi" cause im New. Also I have searched and searched for this answer and could not find it so here goes. If anyone can help I will be most grateful. I have finally set up a server on my computer. I can broadcast from my connection no problem - even though Im using a router. I am on a cable connection. Now what I want to do is allow my other friends - who live elsewhere in the country to be able to connect to my server to do a live broadcast from there home. Im not bothered about multiple streams etc. Just want other DJ's to be able to Connect to my server to stream a live mix. How is this done? Is it Possible? Last night me and a mate spent ages trying to get his stream to connect to my Server so that then it would stream to listeners. My Mate ---------> My Server ---------> Listeners Does he need to set up a server and then do I set mine as a relay - or what? This is probably a very easy question - but Im stuck! Maybe its because I use a router and thats why he cant connect. Because I have an IP (62.**.**.*) plus a LAN IP of (192.168.0.4)... Any help would be great! Cheers! Ryan |

Personally, thats how I set up my "DJs." I connect to them, and relay to the world.
Have your mate set up shoutcast as if he was going to make his own station. Make sure that he does not have "Make this Server Public" checked, because other people will jump in on his connection, not yours. Connect, and relay. Done! |
