Maximising IE6 windows?
This is probably very simple, but does anyone know how to ensure that when you click "Open New Window" on a link that it opens fullscreen, rather than in a window?
BTW, I'm aware of the irony of wanting to open a new "window" in fullscreen But still, it's just easier being able to have the new link maximised straight away.

Uh, I think you misunderstood my question.
I wasn't asking for the HTML code for it, just whether it was possible to click on *any* link in IE6 and have it automatically opemn fullscreen, rather than in a window? |

Oh, you mean like a configuration setting for IE? I don't know if that's possible unless Microsoft has included it in the program.
Sorry I misunderstood. Hope I didn't misunderstand again.

Yeah, a configuration setting... I haven't heard of it being possible, so unless someone tells me otherwise, I'll assume it can't be done.. Surely it would be easy enough for MS to include a checkbox in their options to enable something like this? |

well, here's how to do it, but you cant actually get the window to be fully maximized, but pretty close.
1st open up ie and then right click a link and do the open window thing. Then, instead of pressing the maximise button, just drag the borders of the new window out to the edges of the screen. Then close the original window behind the new one, then close the new one. Now every time you get a new window, it will be that size, unitl you change it. But also, i agree there should be a setting to do this for you. |
