Should you get DivX CoDec Anyways, even if...

If you don't have DivX content, should you get the latest DiviX's CoDec anyway's?
All of my video contet are not DivX encoded. and work just find with all other players I have, except with Winamp3.

and everybody their ranging from the slowest cpu to the fastest cpu, and the lowest memory to highest, good quality sound and graphics cards to onboard crap,has no problems.
and seems to me hardware has nothing to do with all those crash'es and high cpu consumption memory resource hogging, and of course sound and audio problems.(I think you just have to actually mess with the prefrence's to meet your hardwares spec's.)

If your avi and mpeg files work find with all other programs, why should you upgrade drivers and CoDec's just for Winamp3 sake?
