Streaming m3u Files

I have just upgraded to Broadband and found the site emusic.com where I would like to be able to listen to the previews of the MP3 files.

I tried to do this this morning but the version of WinAmp that I had installed could stream but not amplify the samples. When I tested it with some MP3 files on my hard drive I found that it had also stopped piping their sound to the speakers.

I decided to remove this non-current WinAMp software and install the latest version.

I now have a couple of issues that I need help with.

I have found that now none of my mp3s are associated with any specific program. I would like to know how to link them to one so that I can play them again with just a double mouse click.

Aside from this - when I left click on the links for streaming files at either emusic.com or mp3.com WinAmp no longer automatically opens. Instead I get a grey box asking me to save an m3u file.

What do I need to do to instigate streaming ?

Thanks to anyone with advice.....
