FROM mp3 to CD

I was using Adaptec and Winamp 2 before my machine crashed to burn CDs. I used the mp3 to WAV format to put music on traditional CDs.
Now I have a CD player that plays MP3 formats. I downloaded the new WinAmp3 and can't figure out how to use it.
The DirectCD tool doesn't seem to work. I can make the CD in MP3 format, but it doesn't work in the player. I figured I would use WinAmp. HOW DO I convert MP3 from my files to a CD and have them play on this new type CD player????

Any advice for a novice???
Please...
Thanks

I'm not an expert, but maybe this will help. I recently bought a Samsung DVD player that will also play MP3 CD's. As I understand it, you create a data (not audio) CD and copy the MP3 files to it without any conversion. My DVD documentation says that the files have to be in the root directory of the CD and the filenames have to be in the old DOS format (up to 8 characters, no special chars like spaces etc) and have the .MP3 extension. It didn't mention whether the names should be upper- or lower-case. Your player might have similar restrictions. If this is a newer CD player it can probably read CD-RW (rewritable) disks, I'd try it on a CD-RW and see what happens. Sorry, but I've been too damn busy to actually try this myself. Good luck!
