Mic commentary?

I'm broadcasting from Winamp using a playlist, and would like to be able to talk to introduce songs, and have little comments and stuff... is there a way to do this?

edit -- I read what Tom wrote before about this, but I could like to be able to leave it running with the volume right down, while other people are still listening. If I change to the mixer mode, it seems to me that that would cause a problem.... am I right, or is this easier than I think?

If it is setup as I described then the mic will only pick up sound when "Push to Talk" is pressed or "Lock" is pressed. If those aren't pressed the volume of the mic in the playback mixer should go all the way down which essentially mutes the microphone so only music is heard.
