Multiple Brodacasts

How can I configure multiple stations from multiple playlists on different ports ALL AT THE SAME TIME!

Here is what I mean:

I want to have multiple ports used for seperate 'channels' of the same station.

Example:

Server IP: 172.20.253.253
Port for base channel: 8000 (and 8001)

I would like to add other channels on other ports. Such as:

Rock Channel: port 8002
Techno Channel: port 8004
Counrty Channel: port 8006
--I think you get the idea--

Can I do this? If so, could you tell me HOW?

The issue is that I cannot have more than one instance of WinAmp open at the same time to stream from... BUT I COULD have multiple playlists that I could link to from the SHOUTcast web interface.

I only think this is going to make sense to the advanced users of this software But then, I might not make sense to ANYONE!

Thanks, and if you have any other questions regarding this, PLEASE ask me to re-phrase it or SOMETHING. DON'T GIVE UP ON ME! This is to make the upper administration happy, it could be good for me...with your help!

THANKS!!!

It is kind of like this:

TSGH > Multi-bitrate Streams

Pay attention to the server part on how to create separate configuration files. Ignore the past on the DSP. If you need any more help reply.

You don't. If you want each stream to play unique content then you will need a unique source (usually in the form of Winamp w/ SHOUTcast DSP) for each different stream.

So is it possible to broadcast several unique streams off a single machine? I noticed that the SHOUTcast Soure plugin has 5 outputs, how can I send 5 original streams.

One unique stream per Isntance of Winamp and the DSP. That stream can be sent out at 5 didfrent bitrates (or formats if they ever get around to it).

The DNAS can take onle one connection per set-up/port-pair.

Thanks,
So bottom line is, if I want a techno channel, and a rock channel, like what is mentioned at the beginning of this thread, it will take a seperate machine for each?

No. Just seperate installs of Winamp and SHOUTcast. You can do with one install andf jsut multiple instances. But you will need to switch optiosn every time.
