Winamp 3 Skinning Problem

Everytime I try to download a Winamp3 skin, instead of letting me save it to somewhere and put it in the skin folder to use, it automatically downloads to a folder and Winamp3 pops up, but the skin is not used and when I go into the preferences of Winamp3 to try to get the skin working, there is no trace of the skin. Can anyone please help me!?! Thanks.

the skin autodownloads to ur skin folder so it is in there, as far as selecting a skin u have downloaded open up the menu go to skins and select if this shit dont work the delete studio.xnf, and if that doesnt work reinstally wa3

There are no skins in my skin folder, it did not automatically download to there...ive re-installed and un-installed many times..any other ideas?

right click on download link and click Save Target As, and save it in your skins folder. maybe you got virus?

yeah... that happens to me too
when i click the 'download' button.. it asks me to save it somewhere..
so.. pretty much, i have a whole collection of .sz files that dont do anything when double-clicked on

i previously installed and uninstalled Winamp3.. did you do that as well?.. maybe the two programs are conflicting, even though one is uninstalled

i e-mailed support... they pointed me to this page

Well,if a skin's file extension is .sz when you download it, you'll need to add a w to it, so that it will read nameofskin.wsz....atleast that sounds right to me

i checked the file extensions for skins.. and.. its not '.sz'
go figure..
that should do it

winamp 3 skins end in *.wal. winamp2 ends in *.wsz

I all so am have problem skin Winamp3 when ever I try to load a new skin Winamp puts up an error whichs says
"The Skin you're trying to load doesn't seem to be supported skin by winamp"

I have tried downloading other winamp3 skins but get the same problem
the only skins winamp will let me use is the one that came with it

Can anyone help
