Digital Rights Crapola / WiMP 9 beta

I just read a tid bit of the EULA for windows media player 9 beta. I can't believe I downloaded that crap. Aparently I'm supposed to agree to let the software *NOT* play music files if they're unauthorized or unprotected(?)

I have lost ALL remaining trust I had in microsoft. Once winamp3 is fully released for linux, I'm moving over from microsquash for good!

I'm just pissed that microsoft would pull that. I mean by doing that they'd be alienating millions of copyright infringers thruout the world.

p.s.

I don't really care because I don't have time or the money to even buy a cd in the first place. And don't even get me started on how much the RIAA suxass. Only CD I'd buy is Morning View by Incubus. But then again, its not "digitally authorized" if and when I rip it so who teh hell cares.

I'm gonna go tell windows media player 8 to go to the recycling bin, brb...
