WinAmp2 skins collector, WinAmp3 skins enemy

I personaly have 302 skins(and i'm stil colecting).
My favourite: eIndia by Stephen Moss.
Great job man, I absolutely love it.
Oh, and i only collect skins with 4 or 5 stars.

My oppinion about WinAmp3 skins:

I DON'T GIVE A FUCK.
I DON'T GIVE A FUCK.
I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. etc.

THE POINT

The point of the thread is that i could happily live with the thought that Winamp 3 skins would resemble to the the now famous skins.
I've seen allmost all of the skins of Winamp3 posted on this site and i didn't like neighter one of them.
I am not against Winamp3(in fact i really like how winamp has evolved), i just don't like its skins, that's all.
My opinnion is that that the skiners of Winamp3 should base their skins on the now famous skins of Winamp2.

freeform skinning is a shitload better than being restricted by having to place every component in a particular setout. even if you dont like skinning wa3 (yet) don't dribble your shit about how u hate wa3 because it overtook wa2 (basically).

actually skinning wa3 is rather hard, because you have to make the complete layout. So its your goal to make it look good, but still be functional. And creating a good and readable layout is harder then you think.

OK.
So i am the asshole in this story.
I agree it's difficult to make a W3 skin and ,bla bla bla....,
but all that i'm trying to say, guys is that
THE W3 SKINERS SHOULD BASE THEI SKINS ON THE W2 ONES.

AN EXAMPLE:
I think you all know The Silence --by Kepher Rupp.
Well maybe some one should make a skin Based on the little running carracter you see when you point to the winamp menu. You could give it a command when you want to play a certain song or anything else.Something like the PaperClip in Microsoft Office. And why not dance on the music you play (someone could adapt a dance plugin for W2)

That would be the skin of the century(my oppinion).

so ymer, you don't like winamp 3 skins. you don't make any skins. and you complain about the situation without trying to change it by starting to make one yourself... that's weak. this thread is absolutly pointless.

someone should make a 'don't post in here if you want to complain about wa3' sticky.

I saw this get posted last night and I knew the thread was gonna be big
(A bitch about WA3 and a 'favourite skin' thread? Pure genius!)

I agree with you about eIndia, it's definately a classic, I'd put in my top ten faves.

You need to chill and wait for some cool WA3 skins to come, or stick with WA2.

I HAVE TO AGREE WITH YMER..!!

Hi all,

Sorry eveyone, but I do have to agree with Ymer. I have just come to the site to find some of my fave skins for ver2, and was sent to see the skins of ver3. I was unimpressed and there was nothing much there of interest to me. It 'feels' as though the current artists, no matter how much work has been put in to produce good work, have much further to go to satify a wider audience as there is little on offer to satisfy my own thirst for my own favourite styles of work. What's on offer is limited.

Ymer has a point in that before I move to version 3, I want to be asured that I can find the skins that I love and which are only currently available to ver2, which for now, I'm sticking to, as for collecting over 329 skins, Ymer is either mad, or doesn't work and has got nothing better to do... but boy, quite a nice collection to have....

For now, my fave is http://classic.winamp.com/skins/deta...omponentId=212

Boring I know, but I like it..!! Plain, clear and simple...!

See ya!

Lad you are toxicating the forums of wa2 with advertizing your skins. Almost every post you have made its about how good your skins are and that we should take a look.
Could you please remind that this is not a good thing to do.
Specially when you are invading someones thread.

Yes, but the W3 has more windows than W2.
So this means that when i'll apply a skin the player will look like hell.
I say that before we advance to the W3 skins the skiners of W2 should complete their W2 skins.
