Easier Enqueue/Dequeue

THis is a good post:

This is something I've seen on the right-click menu in the Playlist Editor when selecting a song, and I played around with it a bit. Maybe there should be a hotkey like ctrl-clicking will queue up a song, and ctrl clicking a song would dequeue it maybe?

Seems like it could be a useful feature, but it doesn't make sense for the files to automatically be de-queued after the song is over or you press Next (and I think Play and Previous do the same).

Also, when you right click on an Mp3 you get 2 options, play in winamp, and enqueue in winamp, what about a third: Play and enqueue?

I searched the forums, and I don't think anyone addressed these issues, but I may be wrong, sorry in advanced.

Yeah, I posted a topic like this yesterday on the WA3 General Board, but no one's responded yet. Seems like a cool feature, if only it were easier and made more sense. I still don't completely understand it.

Edit: Reading further, you copied part of mine it looks like. Didn't notice that. Next time, say that you at least got the idea somewhere else. That was kinda confusing.

You reccommened Ctrl + clicking? Try holding Alt while clicking on playlist entries.

Oh I didn't even see that, thank you, although the shaded-song that doesn't play thing is still present. Does it go away once all songs in a queue are finished? I'd check it myself but winamp3 is on hold for me currently

Sorry for not crediting you, at least I didn't say it was my idea. Well, the enqueue hotkey idea I had thought about, but you phrased it differently. The shading thing though you mentioned.

The shaded playlist entry means that that specific file won't be played, but it remains in the playlist.

Lightbulb Play or enqueue Folders

I dunno if this is an option that I haven't found or not, but I'd also like the option to Play or Enqueue folders. I have music filed by Artist, and would love to just right click on the FunkiPorcini folder and "Play in winamp".

Have I missed this.

This is being addressed,

What about the idea to be able to Play AND Enqueue? If you just "play" the file it replaces the MP3s already there and the playlist only has the one song in it.

what about right clicking to enqueue a file and then double clicking it in the plyalist editor

alt click works great, except you should be able to queue songs in other playlists.

Go to Preferences > System > Playlists.
On that screen is a section "Replace/Enqueue"
Tick the box.

This will enqueue any song as a default action, whether you double-click a song or right-click>Play. The song will be added to the end of the playlist currently open. From there, it is up to you to play the song from the playlist or move it to a different location in the playlist.

That's the closest thing so far to what you're after.

An 'Enqueue and Play' option could be useful. Maybe even an 'Enqueue Next' option as well. However if either of these were to go ahead, I would also suggest an option somewhere else in WinAmp Preferences to choose what options are displayed in a right-click. Otherwise you start getting a huge right-click list which many people would probably never use. You could do this through Folder Options in Windows Explorer but that's just messy.

I've posted some of these ideas a month ago but those angry guys very politely told me that i am far from being the smartest one. Engueuing from multiple loaded playlist simultaneously wold be very cool feature!
