tried it heres what happened
not sure if i did this all right...when it comes to network stuff within windows this isnt my strong point.......
i put the port as 80 in the sc_serv file. is that what i was sposed to do? then i went into winamp and selected the shoutcast plugin. it brings up a box that says shoutcast source. i clicked on the output tab and put in 'localhost' in the address bit.. is that right... also the box wont close probably because there is some sort of error. there isnt an ok button. i ran the shoutcast server and got this Event log: <10/03/02@23:11:55> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/win32 v1.8.9 (Mar 15 2002) starting up... <10/03/02@23:11:55> [main] loaded config from C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini <10/03/02@23:11:55> [main] initializing (usermax:15 portbase:80)... <10/03/02@23:11:55> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban) <10/03/02@23:11:55> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip) <10/03/02@23:11:55> [main] opening source socket <10/03/02@23:11:55> [main] source thread starting <10/03/02@23:11:55> [main] opening client socket <10/03/02@23:11:55> [main] error opening client socket! FATAL ERROR! Some other process is using this port! <10/03/02@23:11:55> [source] listening for connection on port 81 it needs to have 1 number from the port free as well doesnt it...what now |
