I dunno what's up, BUT I know while they used to come up as .wal for me (or try to) NOW I get .sz, no w involved. I haven't had a problem but I do the old fashioned right-click save target as manually since I have both wa2 and wa3 on my comp. ONLY two things I can think of to try are - redownload using save target as, OR try first renaming to plain old zip, since wa2 reads that as well. Hmm... or go to somewhere like 1001winampskins.com, download one from there, and if that doesn't work either, you might try to reinstall wa2. And that's about the only things I can think of...

if they are renamed wsz and located in the default skin file

C:\Program Files\winamp\skins\"skinname".wsz

try changing the skin again
ie right click the titlebar or left click the options button and choose skins pick your skin from the list

if they are in the right folder named correctly it should work

Skins are actually ZIP files renamed. So, try to unzip those WSZ files. If it doesn't work, it means that you got a bad download, which happens sometimes. Clear your temp. internet files to download those skins again. You'll get WAL files if you installed WA3, and SZ if you uninstalled it. Use a different browser, like Opera or Mozilla, and they will download the way they are supposed to without having to do the "save target as" bullshit.

If it does work, and you can look inside the skin and open up the BMPs, yet the skin doesn't work on Winamp...then, hmmm, I don't know.

Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.

All my skins: @ winamp.com @ 1K1WS @ Deviantart.com
