Winamp Skins
I can't figure it out either, I've been trying to download skins all day and they download but open as a song file and try to play in my playlist. Winamp used to open when a skin was downloaded and now it has no idea what's going on. I hated winamp 3 and now I'm beginning to hate winamp all together... I hope someone can help before I start using windows media player... egh, I hope that doesn't happen. It used to be so easy...

Skins not installing properly
I have the same problem of the skins trying to play themselves on winamp instead of installing, i have followed all the fixes posted but nothing changes, I installed winamp3 and found that it wouldnt accept any of previously downloaded skins and none of the new ones would work either and this used to be such a good and usefull prg.

i starting thinking and i thought that when the files were downloaded they were downloaded as sz, and not wsz so all i did was just rename the file type to wsz....to do this is really easy......
k here we go.... in any folder go to tools>folder options>View tab>hidden files and folders>uncheck box where it says hide extension for known file types....thats it after that just follow the setps i gave in the beginning |
