Weird
![]() CDC files are related to AutoCAD 2000. Is it installed on your system? They're hidden temp files, similar to Windows thumbs.db files. More info here: http://www.fredrick.com/technicalsup...s/td26798.html http://www.fredrick.com/technicalsup...s/td26799.html Apparently, they can also be one of: Chromeleon Driver Configuration Plugin Or a Nero Burning-ROM File http://www.jerryjm.host.sk/ext/index.php?mod=c However, I use Nero 5.5 and I don't see any .cdc files anywhere on my system. To unassociate these files from Winamp . . . First, have you installed any 3rd-party plugins, particularly of the Input or General Purpose variety? Check this file extension isn't in Winamp's extension list (Prefs -> Setup -> Filetypes) If it is, unselect it. (It certainly shouldn't be there by default, the nearest you'll get is .cda) The other way is to do it via Windows Folder Options -> File Types tab. Scroll down for CDC File, click Advanced/Edit (depending on Windows OS) and remove "Open in Winamp" action, etc etc. http://www.jerryjm.host.sk/ext/index.php?mod=c |

No Autocad but do have Nero.
That's what lead me to ask the question, actually. Nero says it can import .cdc files for cd track listings but doesn't say what it is. And I never get a reply from their tech. service and I couldn't find any info searching the web (tut tut Google)or posting to newsgroups. Really appreciate the answer. Thanks. |

Most likely these are CD Cover files from Nero.
Don't have Nero on my machine nowadays, so check what the Nero cover designer generates. UJ |
