HELP... Winamp 3 screwed me over.
Aight, I've had Winamp 2 since I can't remember. Recently I downloaded Winamp 3. Before I installed Winamp 3 I uninstalled Winamp 2. My computer is kind of slow and wasn't handling Winamp 3 so well, so I decided to go back to Winamp 2. But something went wrong, because now when I try to download a skin for Winamp 2, it messes up. It doesn't know what program to open it with. So I stuck the file in the Winamp/Skins directory, still didn't show up. I really love to download and look at different skins, so will someone please give me some tips on how to fix this whole mess?

When you download a skin, instead of just clicking the download link, try right-clicking and choosing "Save Target As..." from the menu. Then rename it to "whatever.wsz" instead of "whatever.wal" and save it to your Skins directory. But you need to make sure that the skin you're downloading is a WA2 skin, and not a WA3 skin.
![]() Addendum: You can have WA2 and WA3 installed on your computer at the same time if you want. So there really isn't any need to uninstall WA2... |

Yeah, that too.
![]() I guess I need to read some of the tech forums sometime, too. |
