Help me

I am sure that someone has had this problem...

I can not get winamp to open. Every time I try I get a message that says "Debug Unknown file type encountered". When I click it, it says "Program has preformed an illegal operation and will be shut down". Anyone with an idea please contact me.

You using Winamp2 or Winamp3?? A forum search shows that the few instances of such problem only occur with Winamp3. Try uninstalling WA3, and deleting everythign within the Winamp3 folder (making sure to back up any downloaded skins, etc). Then reinstall.
