.wal to .wsz did not work

I am getting übermad! I got a cool anime skin, it was a .wal, I did changed the file extention from .wal to .wsz, I got into the skin directory "winamp/skins" and selected the anime skin file...It is still the original winamp skin or the base skin! What am I doing wrong?

Because Winamp2 does not support Winamp3 Skins
