I'm having a problem loading new skins. Please help. After a downloaded skin is finished, it doesnt automatically switch and it says I need to open with a program. What do I do??!!

Right click the link where you're getting the skin from, "Save Target As", place it in the Winamp folder of skins. C:\Program Files\Winamp\skins\

I'm guessing you installed Winamp3, and thats messed with the skins, or Winamp2 isn't totally all installed on your computer.
