I live in America, but that's not why the site's blocked. =P I go to a church school, and typically I prefer the sites blocked, but every once in a while they botch things up and I drop an email to the proxymaster informing them of the problem. *shrugs*

Excuse me if this has already been addressed...

but I've been using the Stick mode and it auto-docks to the top. The dock selection doesn't seem to matter for this... but it would be nice to run it right near the Min/Max/Close buttons but more in direct alignment with them rather than attached to the top. . .

Amazing skin =)

if you look at the top user rated and top staff rated you will see mercury has 5 stars in both of them, mercury is now oficially the best WA3 skin(until we have some of jupiter to talk about).

I'm glad to know anticipation is high around here, but it is going to be a little while before Jupiter is unvieled. I have only a small amount down in pixels yet, but I have big, crazy ideas that are going to take some time to put together.

As soon as I have some goods to show, you will all be the first to know, but I wouldn't expect it very soon. I'll try to make it so it will be worth the wait...

it is? I didnt much care for boom...it wasted a lot of my time with the animations etc..was kind of annoying sometimes...its a great skin but i stuck with default because of some of the things in boom which i felt were just unecesary

I think Boom is a very good skin but I don't see the need to compare every good skin to it, as long as they are original..

I mean, think about it for a minute...
What if someone in like 5 years said the same thing about a skin just released?
"You know, this skin has gotten more posts than that Boom skin back in the days..."
How silly wouldn't that sound?

No offence to anyone, but I really dislike the whole comparing thingy...
Like the people comparing Mercury with mmd3, those skins are completely different from each other and both kick ass! So why compare them at all?

Same goes for Boom and every other great skin created..

If you just want to let people know that you "like this skin better then Boom" then I really think you'd have to say "I like this skin better than Boom, X-Slant, OHE3, Probe, Kaolla2, etc..... [the list has no end in sight]"
and wouldn't THAT sound silly?

My guess is that if someone said he/she still likes Boom best, he/she would most likely get flamed pretty bad...

Same goes for any other "old" skin..

(still no offence to anyone or anyones work)

maybe bcoz boom set the standard in winamp3 skins...when it first came out, it stood out among the rest. it did things no other skin did.

ok let me rephrase what i said..i prefer mercury to boom. this is my personal opinion and should not be seen as the final word.

also since it is what i said, it is no where worth the 2million euro that theplague is worth.

It did some things no other skin had done. It did some very well. It also had some issues. I wouldn't say it "set the standard", because really, what standard would that be? It was good, but not the only outstanding skin. There have been others before and after it that implented interesting features or outstanding graphics and/or animations. But it's just one possible manifestation of excellence, out of a sea of infinite possibilities. Just wait and see, no Winamp3 skin will ever be held for very long as the "best....skin....ever." (apologies for the simpsons reference).

Just my two cents.

I was thinking the same thng, that's why I wondered why Mini-Fusion was featured. It's not that Fusion wasn't deserving, it's just that there are other skins that have had so much more time & effort put into them and are generally superior yet seem to be overlooked. I bet if you was a skin reviewer RPC then it'd be featured already.

Yeah, seeing the MiniFusion and Deep Indigo skins being featured the day after they came out, I can't help but think that Mercury, which came out more than a full week before, has been shafted.

Hopefully it was just overlooked and the problem will be fixed in the next cycle, though with the slowdown in good skin production you'd think it would be hard to overlook a skin that's held five stars from both the staff and the public. *shrugs*

i say if they dont feature it soon we boycott the site and nobody from this forum should submit skins here anymore...and should only submit them at deviantart deskmod etc etc...that or we all just start designing skins for another mp3 player...cuz thats just dumb

u really shouldnt just outright annoy the people who make your program so much more enjoyable..thats not cool at all

Boycotting the site is definitely not the way to go about it, but perhaps a group of people emailing those in charge of skin selection about our perspective of the matter.
