ID3 Tags

I am looking for a way to automatically put the ID3 tags into my MP3's based on the file name I have given the MP3. Is it possible to do this using the CD database or something??? (i.e. A program could see a file called ACDC - Hells Bells.mp3 and automatically put all the ID3 tags into file for that song and artist based on the information in the CD database.)

Something like this may not be possible I was just wondering?
