fatal error

I am using winamp 2.78 with win98se. When I play a CD I will receive a fatal error OE at 0028:ff075xxx. This only happens when I play a cd and doesn't happen when I play mp3's off the hard drive. If I play a cd and don't touch anything then the blue screen will come up and the music will continue playing, if I try and push stop or try and change the track I immediately get the fatal blue screen and no sound.
I have onboard sound with the sis735 chipset and a K7S5A motherboard with an intel 710 chipset and a nvidia TNT2 m64 32MB video. All drivers are installed and updated on a fresh system (approx 2 weeks).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled winamp twice and have also tried enabling\disabling the DMA for the CD(Matshima CR-RW 7585). Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I tried uninstalling winamp 2.78 and reinstalled the new 3.0 full version. It seems that this fixes whatever problem I was having.

You probably just needed to:
1) Upgrade to v2.81 (we don't support v2.78 any more)
2) Disable default analog CD Input plugin (in_cdda.dll)
3) Install digital CDReader plugin

But hey, you've installed WA3 now, so this is no longer under my (or this forum's) jurisdiction.
