winamp won't play

I have uninstalled winamp 3 times, it still won't play. And when I load a play list, it just keeps running through it and won't load a song

I've got the same problem. It's even more weird. I load a playlist, it works fine. Then I stop a file, start it again and nothing happens. After juggling with some settings, I hit the play button and it works again. But when I stop the file, start it over, no music...

Does anybody have an idea, resource problems, OS settings,...? I deinstalled Winamp3 and reinstalled Winamp2 for now.
