Why does it say that winamp 3.0 was released on 12/18? Haven't I had this program for several months?

they released a security fix. it's recomended you download the newer version.

the fix supposidly protects you from certain xml triggering a buffer overrun (i believe), and the possibility of certain ID3 tags doing some weird stuff.

i'm still using winamp 2.81 cause there's no jump function in winamp3 , well WHY THE HELL DAMN WINAMP DEVELOPPERS STILL NOT PUTTING DAMN JUMP FUNCTION to winamp3 ? I gonna be freaK! don'T tell me that pitty search function is enough, just don't... i don't want this new searching shit, i want my jump!

It will be back eventually. Just be patient for it.

this is only a security update, not a feature update, jump feature should be back in the next feature update (3.01)
