Wait, *.wsz are Winamp2 skins (http://classic.winamp.com) and *.wal are Winamp3 skins. Does this help?

And I know you're from France but your english is really hard to understand.

translation: The skins files that are .wsz work fine, but I am having trouble with the others (the .wal files). I have downloaded Winamp 3 a total of 4 times, but it doesn't work. I am running winXP.

ok, immediate thoughts...

when you say wa3 isn't working, do you mean not working at all, or the skins don't look as pictured? Or that the wsz skins don't show the whole skin? If it's not installing at all, I'd delete the old install file if you saved it, and instead of "download and open" save the exe file to disc, and then run the install. After it's installed the file that's the one to start wa3 is "studio.exe".

For skins... most reliable way to download and get the right extentions, classic winamp.com for wa2, right click on the download link and "save target as" and make sure the extension is .wsz and is saving to your winamp2/skins folder. For winamp 3, similar, but make sure it's saving as .wal and saving to winamp3/skins dir.

If the winamp 3 skins just don't look right, go to your options or preferences in winamp 3 and make sure alpha transparency is turned ON. Also, winamp 2 skins work for winamp 3 - sort of. The main and eq parts show, but the playlist and thinger windows stay default.

Can't think of anything else at the moment...

When you download them, rename the .WAL skins to .WSZ. They should now work on Winamp 2.
