What is a really excellent skin?!!

what is a really excellent skin?

In my pinion,it should be laconic, exquisite, cool, and easy to use(the buttons to click, the bars to drag).

i bealieve the power of simpleness!!
just like the one in my attachment,do have a look at it.

so what's your opinion?

it's too simple, basic and unoriginal. some of the buttons are labelled the others aren't, it makes it look half-finished, and the lcd colour is not good.

It's nice but... it's not as easy to use as you say: the cbuttons and pl-stacks are not labelled. I like my skins better

An execellent skin has to balance perfect between eyecandy and usability imo.

I'd like to put my KalaK amp into that category.

*end of shameless self promotion*

To me excellent skins have at least cbuttons and pl-stacks labelled, cool animations, crisp and clear graphics. I somewhat prefer clean simple graphics just as long it has good colors and interresting design.

I don't like overcluttered/busy skins - Unless you use keyb. shortcuts to control winamp it's allways irritating to "find" buttons on those kind of skins.

yes. just click "edit options" (or just click here)

personally, i am not too bothered about labelling things, but i do like consistency in skins

forgive razmansix. He's new here, and he hasn't learnt the fine art of pimping his own skins yet. But I have, so here you go: Kalak

About your skin: It is quite nice - subtle, simple and pleasantly coloured. But then again, there are already hundreds of subtle, simple and pleasantly coloured skins that are just as nice.

PS You can also get Kalak here:

xeno - no they don't, but there have been some...problems with the database, meaning that already-published skins have come round again, and reviews have got mixed up.

The day before the skins are featured, I put on the blurb: "Featured Skin, ......." I then have to press publish, instead of save, otherwise they will not show up when you search for featured skins. When I press publish, the date and time will show as the published date.

ok that explains the date thing.

I submitted this skin december 19 - it were published the 24'th but apparently there was some kind of problem because it was removed shortly after.

I resubmitted it last week. I pm'ed wally about it a couple of days ago to ask if he could see if there was probs with the submission, because there was a very long upload time both times. Wally must have published it right away.

I just wanted it to get published since december 19 - And now it's featured...that's kewl with me.
