Trouble with FreeBSD Server,

2 Problems:

1> I am using a FreeBSD server. I am having a problem breaking out when I start. If I issue ^Z I get SUSPENDED so I have to drop my terminal???

2> I also want to run 2 configurations, one for port :8000 and the other on port :8002. How can I do this from the command line if I can not break out? My configuration files are

./sc_serv CH_1.conf and ./sc_serv CH_2.conf

Please help

put a & sign after everything when you execute it, this will bring you back to the command prompt, and closing the terminal shouldn't stop the server.
