does winamp 3 have karaoke effect?
Winamp has a karaoke effect, that is to take out the voices of the singer, just leave the music here... Does winamp 3 have this function??
Also, winamp has a DSP effect that can raise the pitch, speed and tempo of the songs, how about wianmp 3? I want to have these two plug-ins...! Thanks...

Actually, the CDG Component will NOT remove voices. There is no component for Winamp3 that can do that (yet).
But you can visit the Analog Vocal Remover site and inquire there to see if they are in the process of developing one for Winamp3. The one that is developed there is for Winamp2... NOT for Winamp3. The PaceMaker v3.0 alpha component however, will do exactly as you requested above. |

The Analog Vocal Remover is in fact a DSP/Effect plugin developed for Winamp2, which means to me that it "might" work in Winamp3 with the Winamp 2x Plugin Manager installed in Winamp3 (necessary to use Winamp2 DSP and Gen plugins).
So, this being the case, to help you out, I just now installed the Analog Vocal Remover into Winamp2. I tested it there. I then ran it through Winamp3 and it works EXACTLY the same. By that I mean it's NOT perfect. The vocals are not completely removed in most cases, but they are low enough so that you can barely hear them. Anyway, here's what you need to do, to get it to work in Winamp3... 1. Close Winamp3 2. Download/install the Winamp 2x Plugin Manager [Component ID: 118230] into Winamp3 3. Download/install the Analog Vocal Remover (Winamp) 4. Open Winamp3 5. Press CTRL+P to open preferences window 6. Scroll down to "Winamp 2 Plugins" 7. In the right column, select the "DSP Plugins" tab 8. Highlight the "AnalogX Vocal Remover" plugin listed there You will now see a "Mix" vertical slidebar, with 0% as the default value and the slider at that position. You can move the slider up to as much as 100%, to try and "completely" remove the voice in the song. |

Why thanks, Mr Jones.
But I'm not 100% on target all the time. I really got bashed by Reaper in this thread > not working And I deserved it too! I should have known better about the quality loss and thought about it before I posted what I did there!
