Problems with transparent proxy caches

Hi,

My ISP has recently implemented what they call it is a tranparent proxy cache, but I'm afraid it's not so transparent since it completely messes up Shoutcast streams They apparently filters
ports 80, 3128 and 8xxx, so most streams are affected by this issue.

The problem seems to be that the proxy destroys the ICY headers and supposely replaces them by plan HTTP ones, so Winamp thinks it is a HTTP stream and not a ShoutCast one, thus not correctly parsing metadata and treating it as if it were mpeg data

This causes the sound to stop and continue every few seconds, which is quite annoying

Disabling metadata on Winamp (shoutcast title & stream name) workarounds this problem... so, would it be possible for future versions of Shoutcast to detect when it's a proxy connecting and disable sending of metadata? I think that would help, since manually disabling them in Winamp to fix this issue is not so trivial, and could lead some users to just give up and not listen to Shoutcast streams.
