CD to mp3 quality??
Two quick questions:
1) As far as converting CD to mp3, which program is best to use? I'm considering downloading CDex, though I already have both Nero and Easy CD Creator on my comp. Will there be a difference in quality if I use one over another? 2) I know that because they are compressed, mp3's don't have the greatest sound quality. Is there someway to improve this? A plug-in, maybe? Thanks for your time. |

Something you can use for CD > MP3 is "MusicStation" (if i recall). It also converts Wav and a majority of other windows formats. When you record to your Hard drive, set the settings to record at ATLEAST 190Kbps. This will give you a much better recording, and a much better playback. You can always fine tune later if needed using Sonic foundry Sound Forge, but that is pricey. "whisper", do a search on kazaa for it

Also, use Nero to burn the CD's, it tends to be a "bit" better than Easy CD. Also, burn at 8 speed, This will ensure you dont get coasters
