Linking my stream

I have discovered that the link to my radio on the shoutcast radio directory changes, so I need to know how to provide a link to my stream that will always be the same.

So I did some research, and read that I should just enter my IP and port into a URL addres, something looking like this: htt://myipaddress:port
But I did that, and tested it on another computer, but it didn't work! Where did I go wrong?

By the way, I am using my own server, on my own computer, so it is suppose to be my home ip, right?

Remember, lan machines need to use the lan ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.
Non-lan machines need to use the non-lan ip (the real, world-visible ip) of the DNAS to connect/listen.

You can get a static name, such as foo.bar.com (although it won't be as pretty), at http://www.no-ip.com

Then, in addidion to giving out the links:
DNAS link: http://foo.bar.com:yourDNASport
Listen link: http://foo.bar.com:yourDNASport/listen.pls

You can also give out:
DNAS link: http://yourDNASip:yourDNASport
Listen link: http://yourDNASip:yourDNASport/listen.pls
