Server Working, Client Not (Firewall)

I set up my SHOUTcast Server a couple of days ago and everything works great. I have it hosted at home and I just put my winamp on random play and I want to connect to it from work.

I tested the stream at a friends house and it works great. very cool.

The only problem is I can't reach it from work. We are behind a firewall. I have access to change settings on the firewall.

Here's the story. I can access my HTTP server at my house ( http://www.myserver.com:8000/ ). It shows what songs are playing and I can access the admin section.

When I click on the "listen" link it opens WinAmp and then times out. I obviously need to open up some other ports through our work firewall to allow WinAmp to connect to my server.

Any help would be great.

Colin.

PS. I did search as many places for this information as possible but all I found was information when the SHOUTcast server was behind a firewall, not the client

I just figured it out.

I had to set up winamp to use our business proxy server.

Sorry about the post.
