shoutcast questions

hi,
my shoutcast server is up and running

i come into work everyday and listen to my music
so i decided to make a little site that i could just click on a link that would open up my winamp and start streaming.

so it opens up winamp but it just plays the default "winamp, it really kicks the lamas ass"
the playlist.pls file contains information about ip address and port number just like it is supposed to. so how come it doesn't stream my audio??
any help would be amazing

when you click that link, are you 100% sure that the computer is still streaming the data? it could have reached the end of the playlist or something, can other people listen to it when you are streaming normally?

100% sure... i clicked the link this morning when i came in... didn't work... so i went add > add url > droped in http://67.69.225.164:8000 and boom worked...
the playlist is on repeat.

DNAS link: http://yourDNASip:yourDNASport
Listen link: http://yourDNASip:yourDNASport/listen.pls

Just replace yourDNASip with the ip of the DNAS (SHOUTcast server) and yourDNASport with the DNAS port (default is 8000)

Machines on the same lan as the DNAS (you) need to use the lan ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.
Machines not on the same lan as the DNAs (the rest of the world) need to use the real, world-visible ip of the DNAS to connect/listen.
