Call in show? Possible?
Hey folks - I'm kinda new here and all, but I've been hosting a weekly Howard Stern-ish show for a few months now. The only component missing is ...CALLERS! Is it possible to use an application such as MSN messenger to chat with someone through voice, and simultaneously use Shoutcast to broadcast it to your listeners?
Feel free to beat me with a llama if 20 minutes of searching posts was not enough

You'll need to combine your callers using some conferencing software/hardware and put your Winamp/DSP combo in soundcard mode.

Ok - soundcard mode - check -
Msn Messenger - check Use the mic on both at the same time - Failed horribly. What kind of hardware were you referring to in your last post? Another soundcard maybe? |

hmm.. this may be nothing but make sure your soundcard is full duplex ie. can play and record at same time.
Alot of the Sound Blaster cards were advertised as having full duplex and unfortunately enough for me they turned out only being half duplex

Ok - it's a SB Live!, and it is full duplex, because I can talk while music is playing and people can hear me. What I want to do is have a voice chat going in MSN - or Yahoo - or whatever - that I can broadcast for people to listen to
