Using MSN Voice chat and Shoutcast at the same time...

Hey folks,

Is it possible with one soundcard and two mic's to use MSN Voice chat and broadcast at the same time over Shoutcast? I think I already asked once, but nobody seemed to know?

The idea is a call-in radio show where callers can use MSN to get into a chat with me, which I can then broadcast. Any ideas?

SB Live 5.1
Winamp 2.8
Latest MSN
2 mics available
Decent enough PC
separate PC for Shoutcast server

Thanks!

yes it is possible, All you have to do is set input to the soundcard, you will need to do some tweaking to set the levels of the mic and the soundcard but it should work. Just play around with it... If you need somone to listen post a time and im sure someone will help you out.

Ok - I have tried setting it to soundcard mode, and while I can hear any sound the computer plays on the broadcast, the mic will only work with one app at a time - either MSN OR shoutcast - not both at once. That's the only roadblock I face now.

Well, in theory that might work, but I think the lag would be horrible as I am in Canada and most of my listeners are european. I sometimes register about 2 minutes lag between me and them.

I need MSN and Winamp to be able to share the mic - seems the only wy. Anyone know how this is done?
