Help Setting Up Broadcast - How can i test my broadcast?

Basicly, im new to this stuff, and not too familiar with the internet broadcasting lingo. Basicly, my output tab on shoutcast says im connected, but i dont know how to get people to tune into me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

use the ip address, aswell as the port # that you selected while configuring the shoutcast server,
if you didn't change the port # then the default is 8000,
so that url to tune in would be,
http://your-ip:8000/listen.pls
of course change "your-ip" with the IP address of the server that shoutcast is running on.

simple as that:-P

ok, so i see that my port # is 8000, but i dont know how to find the value for "your-ip". is it my actual ip address? I cant find it in the server config document, and if i use my own, i still cant connect. I open two winamps, one broadcasting, the other trying to tune in, is this even possible, is that why im having problems or am i using the wrong ip? how do i look up the ip i need to use? Told you im new to this stuff......

dont do that, post your url/ip adress and we will try to listen, opening 2 winamps is not a good idea.

well the problem of broadcasting is fixed...but some people cant connect to my broadcast while i have gotten two people to tune in. Anyway this would still help my question so heres my station:
