Is there a list of soundcards that work with advanced recording option?

I have onboard sound of an asus something something lol.... I doubt this is good enough to actually use advanced streaming?

I can hear myself in my headphones when i use it, although when i play music i get a deep base action on all my music. I also can hear myself speaking, breathing and background noise even when i dont have "lock" or "push to talk" pushed down. Any insight on either of these two problems?

re: do you have your headphones plugged into your soundcard out?? - this may cause a stereo feedback in some sound cards, which is why you are getting that deep bass, make sure your sound card mixer is only using a single audial line from your "line input", if it is using an "analog mix", your microphone input may be included and if that is the case, it will be on at ALL TIMES...if all else fails, pick up one of the best home audio sound cards out there, the SB Audigy 2, or if you wanna go to a pro sound card, the M-audio Delta 66 works nicely..
