Shoutcast chat java error, (what's the address of the server?)
When trying to cat http://www.shoutcast.com/chat.phtml?...houghtbludgeon I get the following error using Java 1.4
java.lang.SecurityException: class "Ident"'s signer information does not match signer information of other classes in the same package at java.lang.ClassLoader.checkCerts(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source) I'm assuming this is an IRC server... so I could just use the irc server address and forget about the java client. |

Ok, here's my applicable system versioning
Windows XP Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp1.020828-1920 Service Pack 1) Mozilla 1.2.1 build 20021130 Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920 (with the latest hotfixes) Java Plugin/JRE version 1.4.1_01 and it works for you? how does your system compare? did you change your Java security policy at all? could you answer my second question and let me know how to connect without the java client or should I take it that it's unsupported and sniff the connection on a working box? |
