Connecting

in the address bar on theconnection screen when i leave it at localhost it connects but when i give people the address http://localhost:8000/listen.pls they say it doesn't work but when i type in my IP number in the connection part it doesn't even connect. and when i type in http://localhost:8000/listen.pls in my borwser it works please help
