streaming without lag or delay
For some strange reason, i was under the impression that if i hosted a Shoutcast server on my LAN, that when i "tuned" into it using another computer on my network i would hear the exact same thing (no lag, no delay, or whatever the technical term for it is). While i was sorely disappointed, it now seems almost unreasonable that i would have ever thought such a thing. And yet i still wonder if anyone would know if such a thing would be possible (at least maybe with just a very small lag) using Shoutcast or any other program/plugin. i just can't help thinking about how kewl it would be if i could listen to the same songs simultaneously on several close, networked computers. Any suggestions?

from reading old posts, the only possible solution to atleast lower the lag time is to go with an older shoutcast DSP.

no there is no way to do this kind of syncronization, shoutcast comes with lag for QoS reasons. If you want real time shoutcast is not for you.

Don't forget that there is also a lag based on the size of your MP3 player buffer.
