that woudl be completely dumb. that would piss them off. that is part of their identity, we can't jsut change the country's name. that owul dbe almost as bad as saying they arn't muslim anymore, they are ....mustian (muslim + christian), or something to that affect.

i would think they might like that idea, right now that name "iraq" is asseated with bad and terrorist type of things, so a new name might give then a knew start to make people think better of that country

According to a survey done by my newspaper, only 34% of people know where Iraq is when given a map of the middle east. I feel ashamed.

so your telling your school books had maps with just Rep. of Ireland, UK, East Germany......& the USSR.

Note: I got 104 on the Euro one & 100 on the USA one

Note: The USSR slit in 1991 so thats why there is so many more countries

i got 35 in the US states one.

and i got 49/111 in the europe one.

i really know bugger all about geography. to be fair, in the europe one, i was always *close* - i knew the general region, just kept clicking on the wrong country in the mass of them that are there.
