Shoutcast help please

I know I know... its the same topic as everyone elses. ok heres the deal... i have setup shoutcast and winamp....and they appear to work... i have done several test broadcasts and been able to hear them on winamp (with a delay) from my own pc.... then when i ask someone else to listen it doesnt work... conection timeout . or just sits there trying to connect... now i wouldnt have come here to bother you people in the know if i hadnt exhausted all other lines... please help... i have a broadband connection in the uk...that is tagged as one meg... not sure where to test this but after several calls to my isp , i have been assured that i have more than enough bandwidth to serve to at least a few people... I have set up a substantial broadcasting studio and am looking forward to seeing who might be interested. you can check out the website (and the links) at http://www.sound-uk.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk the website has a lot of work to be done so be nice.... =0) . i really would appreciate any advice you guys (an gals) have to offer.... thanks...

dont get me wrong

I love that you posted that... but what does it mean? did you manage to connect? is the problem with my pls file? do i have a problem appart from nobody can cannect? did you link from the website ? or from some where else? sorry but i am lost here... if you connected no problem and the people who are 100 yards from me and on the same bandwidth cant connect im not sure what the problem is..... please help.... lol

the connections that are liseted there are ... erm.... me

It means that I was able to see you have the DNAS up and therefore there is nothing that is preventing users from connecting. At the time I connected you were not providing the DNAS with audio therefore there was nothing for me to listen to. I connected by getting your IP from the forum software and then assumed you were on port 8000 which you were. I just took a look at the link on your website and it does not point to the same IP I used and therefore that appears to be the cause of your problems. Try using: http://80.195.17.116:8000/listen.pls and see if that works for the others.

excellent. Thankyou... i have changed the ip in the pls file on the website.... but winamp and the plugin say connected... and when i connect from shoutcast i can hear it... ok wait i will change the ip in the shoutcast... would you try it again for me please?

website link has been changed... but you said i had no source? yet winamp and the shoutcast both have a level. and seem to be working here.... did you try it again to see if there was sound? if not will you?
