2.9b not saving proxy information after connecting to shoutcast server

every time i connect to a shoutcast server via a proxy, it connects, but then deletes the proxy server from the proxy information under preferences. it keeps the username and password, but not the proxy.

Bug or 'feature'? Thanks!

Cannot reproduce. Can you provide more details, system specs?

(Though the proxy did not have a user:pass)

Anyone else?

winxp sp1, 1 GB ram.
did an upgrade from b2. I also tried uninstalling and doing a clean install of 2.9 and got the same results.

if i have the following in the proxy box:

foo\bar:myPass@theproxy.company.com

after connecting to and playing one shoutcast station, the proxy box changes to:

foo\bar:myPass

at this point winamp complains it cannot find the proxy when you attempt to play a shoutcast station.

I have 2 machines here and have reproduced it on both boxes.

loading shoutcast from bookmarks does NOT hose the proxy info, so it seems related to double clicking an entry from the library.

I am facing the same problem with Winamp 2.91. I guess the problem is because the proxy information is not being parsed properly. The full proxy information would be:

<user>:<pass>@<proxy>:<port>

I guess at some point, only <proxy>:<port> is expected and <user>:<pass> is taken to be this information. This is an irritating bug, so please fix it soon...

Moreover, the login information: password is stored unencrypted. I am not sure if this is right. A simple encryption will help, just to keep off the casual users from coming across this.

I am looking forward to these bug fixes in the next version.
