Problem whit skin in Winamp 2.9
Hello fellows! I am a new member of this group.
It is the problem: I made a full Skin (main, playlist, equalizer, minibrowser and WVS or "AVS"), so, when I test the skin on version 2.8, the skin works perfectly, in all parts. But, when I test the skin on version 2.9, the skin of WVS (AVS) don't works (default skin shows). What I have to do? The name of the skin file (avs.bmp) is different or not? |

And, If I want to do the skin works on both versions, I have to include avs.bmp and gen.bmp on the same skin file?

As for the difference in design, there's a lot of differences between avs.bmp and gen.bmp, i reccomend using a modified mb.bmp for gen.bmp and video.bmp |

Sawg, I do what you said. But, when I test, the skin on AVS doesn't work properly. Instead of appear entirely, appears like design mode (the black screen of avs, and behind, the drawing in original form). So?

We're still waiting for a proper template for skinning the new windows (i might make one myself if no-one else does soon), but for now skinning over the base skin does the job. |

In video.bmp you'll need to change the button labels and titlebar label (if applicable) from mb.bmp if you wish to use it.
The bottom of the gen.bmp window is smaller, so you'll have to change your image to suit. Also i forgot to mention the top of the gen.bmp window uses two tileable sections instead of one. Can you attach a screenshot of the skin or the bitmaps you're working on so we can get a better idea of the problems you're having? |

Looks ok to me, just change the button labels for the < > X R ^ buttons to + 1x 2x X ^ (look at video.bmp in the 2.9 base skin for the correct labels) and change the lettering in the titlebar to video and save it as video bmp.

Atmo, thanks so much.
You help me a lot with this advice. But, about AVS skin, all I have to do is remove buttons from the bottom? Can you send a example to me? |

Atmo,
You are a really great work partner! Thanks one more time! When I finish the skin, I will send first to you, ok? So you can judge the result. One question: When I need a help, can I contact you? For last: can you send your video.bmp for me? I want to compare with my file. |

Sure, im usually here every day. If you need help though, your best bet is to post a thread here: http://forums.winamp.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=5 as that's where all the wa2 skinners hang out.
Here's video.bmp from gamusion so you can make the comparisons. |
