Can't Play Music

I get an WMA output configuration box every time I try to play my .m3u list that I've been using for about 6 months already. when I just click close and try to play, it still doesn't work. It gives me an error that "Error setting output format on writer." I don't know how to get it tuned like it wants me to, it wants a samplerate, bitrate, and channels. I'm clueless, and I'm a newbie to the forum but not very illiterate when it comes to computers. Someone please assist!

Winamp -> Prefs (Ctrl+P) -> Plugins -> Output
Select one of waveOut or DirectSound, not WMA Output or DiskWriter.
