enque/deque in winamp 2?

i have been using the new winamp 3 for some time now, and have gotten very used to the enque/deque feature on it. but i wan to go back to winamp 2, now that 2.9 is out. is there an enque/deque feature on this version? i cant seem to find it...

Sounds like you want to know if it's available in 2.9, correct? In 2.9 just press Ctrl+P -> go to Setup/File Types -> make sure 'Directory Context Menus' is checked in the in bottom right.

Enqueue is to add a file to the end of a playlist instead of Winamp clearing the current playlist to have only the songs you just chose.

Is there a plugin or external app that allows you to insert a file into an existing playlist after the currently playing song, and also is it possible to have this action instigated by a time related cue/action? This query is requested as I need to insert a pre recorded news bulletin (and intro) into a radio playlist at a pre determined time (on the hour). Thanks.

Can't you just put the intro and news bulletin right after the song you want it to play after in the playlist? Just insert the news bulletin file into the playlist underneath the song you want it to come after.

I should have mentioned that I wanted the add intro and news file automated, as I make up a playlist file every day of 800 odd elements and have a news audio file available via ftp updated at 5 past the hour and want to have it played automatically approximately 55 minutes later at the nearest point past the hour after the song which plays on the hour or just after the hour. All this needs to happen while I sleep, play gold, do other stuff like sell advertising! Hope that makes sense... Thanks Chris

Maybe if you posted that in the Winamp 2 Skins & Plug-ins Tech Support forum, you'd get a much better response than in here. I can't really help you with that very much.

Or you could try the SHOUTcast Technical Support forum as well. Good luck!
