Configuring Relay Servers
Hi guys!
Could some one help me with a problem I have with my Shoutcast relay server? I have the DSP plugin running on the same computer that I run the Shoutcast server on. This is all fine and working. I run a relay server at Internetradio.nu. I only have limited bandwidth available so I want the only server that is made "public" to be the one at Internetradio.nu. What happens is the Shoutcast directory shows me as a cluster and puts my 1st server ontop of the list. I get compliants that my service is crap and slow, as it's trying to connect to a server that is not able to handle it. Not to mention I don't want them to. I find reserving etc and the bare minimum allowed to connect doesn't work to flash. This because I have lots listening on the LAN here. I've tried changing the config file on the first server to not allow the server to be made public by the relaying server. I've also turned off the "listme" in yp in the dsp. The end result is never what I need. I can get the lot private or public. But what I need is just my first one to be "private" and any other to be "public".. Could it be i need to contact Internetradio.nu and get my relay cofigured to always be "public"? This doesn't excite me they arenot too flash at getting back to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any idea's would be appreciated!!! |
