Seems your shortcut or whatever used to launch the DNAS is borked.

I'm assuming there is more to the DNAS directory than C:\Program

Check your DNAS shourtcuts and re-install/fix as necessary.

How are you launcing the DNAS? From a desktop shortcut, start menu, double clicking the exe, command prompt, or other?

Left click on "Start" and navigate to the shortcut.

However, instead of left clicking the shortcut right click on it and select properties.

What are the values for "Target" and "Start in"?

I am currently having the exact same problem.

I had my shoutcast server running perfectly but after I formatted my hard drive and set up the server again I ran into this problem.

Here are the values for "Target" and "Start in"

Target : "C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.exe" "C:\Program Files\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini"

Start in : "C:\Documents and Settings\sjr\Start Menu\Programs\SHOUTcast DNAS"

Hmmm. That looks OK.

Are you able to run the DNAS from a command prompt?

Try creating a new shortcut.

I might give that a shot but the server runs 24/7 anyway so now that it is running I am quite happy.

I wouldn't have thought about using the command line method and that problem was driving me insane so thanks for the help.
